The National Center for Freight and Infrastructure Research and Education (CFIRE) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is currently looking to hire a Communications Coordinator to be responsible for all elements of the UTC’s communications portfolio (web, social media, and publication layout). This position will be an integral part of the CFIRE staff. Interest and experience in freight transportation and technical writing is a plus.
The Communications Coordinator will be responsible for the Center’s Web 2.0 efforts and also carry out a variety of duties, including: (1) preparing quarterly newsletters for the Center; (2) preparing and publishing a CFIRE annual report in accordance with USDOT guidelines; (3) collecting necessary performance indicator data and information; (4) developing case studies, educational materials, and other content for the CFIRE website, quarterly newsletter, annual report, occasional research project reports and other publications; (5) providing editorial support (e.g., editing grant proposals, project reports, and articles for publication) to CFIRE researchers and staff; (6) ensuring consistent center branding across all materials; (7) participating in National meetings, conferences, and workshops.
